 News:
My Man Mike Dallas posted pics and also wrote a recap of the Race and some after-race chilling out activities on the Bustin Blog. Check it out!

Official Recap:
After weeks of planning the race was a success! Mother nature didn't cooperate and made it rain the night before and earlier in the morning. That aside the race was a success.

45 people made it out for race, thats 180 pieces of urathane, 90 trucks, and 45 tired pushing legs, for all you people that like the numbers. (given 70 people registered thats not a bad turnout!)

We had a rocky start over by the steps (no pun intended) at the base of the art museum, we ended up starting a whole 34 minutes late to allow people to get here with the rain and all. After a quick head count and a rough sign-in/registration process I got up on the steps and gave a little speech about the course and shit like that.

A few people (the hardcore people in the front of the pack (the New Yorkers)) took a wrong turn onto Strawberry mansion (i dont know how), unfortunately they were disqualified (sorry guys ). That was the only hiccup that we came across . Other than that we had an AWESOME event!

There were multiple people with cameras (i expect ALL those photos to be emailed to me), and a special thanks to Bustin's own Annah Rowe, professional photographer, for taking some killer images of the race. She took a shit-ton of photos, hopefully she can get them to me before the week's end! Guys check out Bustin's site, Mike Dallas is gonna do a full write-up of the race on there, and there's rumor of a concrete wave publication being done on his part!

Shoutout goes to our sponsors for the gnar gear: Nelson Longboards (Half Nelson Mini), Sundae Skates (landyachtz spud), Flexdex (Mantis), and Orangatang/Loaded (Durian wheels), Bustin (random swagger to be determined).

Special thanks to my fellow Silverfishers for helping me organize this event: EvilChurch_Doc, Afrorider, FunkPod, Prophilly, CCat, and Zackman.

I also want to thank Anton Milioti and Adam Dabonka for letting me do shameless plugs at their events that I attended.

Last but not least, the man who this would not be possible without: MikeyB for coming up with the idea for this event! (I picked up the organizational reigns when he dropped them, but it's as much his race as it was mine and the others).

I'm already planning for next yea'rs race, (keep a few sundays in next August free) but let's not get too ahead of ourselves! (I might even be game for a few random lower key things in the near future) Next up is the Broadway Bomb in NYC on October 10th.

Bro'in out! Peace. Skate the nation / walk the plank!
